3rd Arrear of ROPA 2009 for State Govt. Employees

In terms of Rule 12 of the WBS (ROPA) Rules, 2009 the arrears of pay to which a State Government employee is entitled to during the period from the 1st April, 2008 to 31st March, 2009 shall be paid in cash in three consecutive equal yearly installments beginning from the year 2009-2010.

Accordingly in terms of Memo No. 3950-F, dated 27.05.2009 and No. 7189-F(P) dated 02.07.2010 the first and the second installment of arrear calculated as per item no. 6 of this departments’ Memo No. 2728-F dated 07.04.2009, were released to the State Government Employees on and from 1st August, 2009 and 1st August, 2010 respectively.

Now a question has been raised as to when the third installment of the arrear pay and allowances will be released.

After careful consideration of the matter, the undersigned is directed by the order of the Governor to state that 50% of the third installment of arrear already calculated as per item no. 6 of this departments’ Memo No. 2728-F dated 07.04.2009, will be paid to the State Government Employees with immediate effect and the remaining 50% of the third installment of arrear will be decided later.

Necessary amendment in WBS (ROPA) Rules, 2009 will be made in due course.

    I am due to retire on 31.8.2014 on superannuation and Stopped contribution from June 2014. I have submitted the full and final payment application in June 2014. But till date I did not get any information regarding final payment of Fund. My GPF Account no is AGR/WB?58944.

    I joined west Bengal government service from 24.09.2009 as an LDA from Die in harness case as such I would like to know that if i am eligible for the 3rd arrear.

    Sir, One who have availed benefit of tax relief for arrear of ist & 2nd instalment of Ropa’09 in the year 2009-10 & 2010-11, and wiill he/she entitled to avil arrear relief for the 50% of 3rd Ropa’09 received in the year 2011-12 and if he/she is entitled to get the same please send the calculation procedure.

    This is very unfortunate. What is the objection regarding the 2nd arrear bill? What is the status of the bill at present? At first bring to the notice of your higher authority about the fact in written form. As such, do not forget to keep evidence (Received copy)of your communication. If no response within a fortnight then a give a reminder with a copy to the next higher authority. Mention the urgency of the money before Durga Puja very strongly and give a reason accordingly. Your move should be desperate and polite as well.

    Sir. I have one question regarding those employee who will be retired on or before 31st December 2011. Will they get only 50% of arrears or full payment of arrear will be allowed for only them?.If there is any specific order for this concern then please share here or send to this email address- aritra_neogi@rediffmail.com Thank you.
