ANNUAL ACADEMIC CALENDAR FOR ALL RECOGNISED SECONDARY SCHOOLS IN WEST BENGAL
The Annual Academic Calendar is spread over in the following stages:
1. Timings of School Hours:

Total hours per week – 31 hours (including tiffin hours)
Total Teaching -Learning hours in a year = 31 hrs. x 33.71 weeks = 1045 hours
3. Class-wise Periods:
V – 6 periods x 5 days + 4 periods X 1 day (Saturday) = 34 periods
VI – 7 periods x 5 days + 4 periods x 1 day = 39 periods
VII & VIII – 8 periods x 5 days + 4 periods x 1 day = 44 periods
IX & X – 8 periods x 5 days + 4 periods x 1 day = 44 periods.

IX & X – In case of IX & X, earlier system of Continuous comprehensive evaluation and Annual academic Calendar will be followed until further order.
Project based learning i.e., Learner Centric task-specific participatory/activity approach + Identification of learning gaps through testing + provision of remedial lessons through peer-learning.
