NOTIFICATION
In exercise of the power conferred by section 7 of the Prohibition of Employment as Manual Scavengers and their Rehabilitation Act, 2013 (25 of 2013) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Governor is pleased hereby to appoint the 5th day of December, 2014, as the date from which no person, local authority or any agency shall, either directly or indirectly, engage or employ, any person for hazardous cleaning of sewers and septic tanks under the said Act.
2. This notification shall come into force with immediate effect.
