Sub: Payment of 20% of Arrears in Connection with Revision of Pay Structure under the UGC Pay Revision Scheme of the Vice Chancellors and Pro-Vice Chancellors of the State Aided Universities.

In continuation to this Department’s G.O. no. 668-Edn(U) dt. 27.11.2009, the Governor has been pleased to decide the following modalities regarding the payment of arrears for the period from 01.01.2006 – 31.03.2009 payable to the Vice Chancellors and Pro-Vice Chancellors of the State Aided Universities.
20% of the arrear payable for the period from 01.01.2006 – 31.03.2009 will be paid in three equal installments of which the first 2 installments will be paid during the financial year 2011-12 while a separate order will be issued later for the 3rd installment in consultation with the Finance Department of this Government.
Decision regarding payment of the balance 80% of the arrears would be considered separately and notified in due course after interactions with and obtaining suitable inputs of Government of India.
This issues with the concurrence of Finance (Audit) Department, Government of West Bengal vide their U.O. No. 2168 Group-P (Service) dt. 09.01.2012.
