MEMORANDUM
The Scale of pay of Sub-Editor, Translator, News Analyst was revised from Scale No. 10 i.e. Rs. 1390 – 2970/- to Scale No. 12 i.e. Rs. 4800-10925/-with effect from 1.1.96 notionally with actual benefit from 1.1.2007 vide this Deptt.’s Order No. 547-ICA, dt. 27.2.2009.
2. Consequent upon the revision of the scale of pay of the Sub Editor, Translator, News Analyst some clarifications have been sought for regarding fixation of pay.
3. After careful consideration of the matter, the Governor is further pleased to order follows:-
i) The officer holding the post of Sub Editor, Translator, News-Analyst may exercise option to come under the said revised scale of pay as is allowed vide this Deptt.’s Order No. 547-ICA, dt. 27.2.09 with effect from any date between 1.1.96 to 1.1.97 (both days inclusive) within 30 days from the date issue of this order.
ii) The pay in the revised scale would be fixed on the basis of unrevised pay in the unrevised scale under WBS (ROPA) Rules, 1990.
iii) The first higher Scale, Second higher Scale and Third Higher Scale of direct recruit Sub Editor, Translator, News Analyst for the purpose of CAS-’90/ MCAS-’01 benefit would be Scale No. 13 (Rs. 5000-11275/-), Scale No. 14 (Rs. 5500-11325/-) and No. 15 (Rs. 6000-12000/-) respectively. The said scale would take notional effect from 1.1.96 for CAS-’90 benefit and from 1.1.2001 for MCAS-’01 with actual benefit from 1.1.2007.
4. This order is issued with the concurrence of the Finance Deptt. vide their U/ O. No. 868 Group-‘P’ (Pay) dt. 2.4.09.
