Yes. B.Ed degree on special education can sit for SSC as a trained candidate (NSOU provides B.Ed only in special education till now). Besides there are extra-facilities too (those are not available with normal B.Ed degree): 1. One will get RCI registration as a professional to teach the Children With Special Need (CWSN) in the respective area. 2. Will get facilities in for recruitment in primary school too 3. @years degree so acceptable in all India basis 4. Will explore a new area of knowledge of special education.
However, NSOU will provide B.Ed for untrained upper-primary teachers in ODL mode in normal education. Their degree will be valid for wbssc but as it is of only 1yr (10 month probably) it may not be acceptable in all India basis and if wbssc rule changes and wants 2 yr B.Ed degree.
