Thank you for joining in this forum.
On reply to your query I like to say that : yes you can deposit your I/Tax directly to the IT Department by submitting the amount to the bank through IT challan and by online banking system. to avail the online banking service you should have the service of online banking from the bank.January 13, 2013 at 2:33 am #76372AnonymousGuest

If you don’t mind I like to remind you that, please do not write your post in all capital font.
I also like to tell you that as you do not have any onlibe banking facility then you have to bother for the offline facility provided by the banks i.e. you have to deposit you tax at the bank.January 14, 2013 at 5:11 pm #76386AnonymousGuest
Till today, that I know, the Income Tax of an incumbent (in case of school) deducted from his/her salary and deposited to the office by the D.I. The school authority is bound to do so. After that the H.M./Secretary will give the Form-16 to the teachers and other staff. Now getting the From 16,personally or on line it may submitted to the authority. No school teachers or other staff of the aided school can submit their income tax personally. Thank you.January 15, 2013 at 1:45 am #76388AnonymousGuest

Either by submitting the statement of income from other source and then deduct the amount of tax from the salary or by depositing the tax to the income tax department.January 15, 2013 at 2:07 pm #76397AnonymousGuest

Tax on “salary” income should be deducted by the EMPLOYER regularly in a year and deposited to IT deptt. on regular intervals. So, tax on income OTHER THAN SALARY may be paid directly to IT deptt. However, self-employed persons, business professionals etc. directly deposit self-assessed tax to IT deptt. as they have no employer to deduct tax.January 15, 2013 at 6:53 pm #76410AnonymousGuestARUP wrote:I am an Assistant Teacher in Govt. No. 419/1(25) GA, Dated: 01.03.2010.
From: The Directorate of School Education, West Bengal.
To: The District Inspector of Schools / Additional District Inspector of Schools.
Sub: Income Tax Deductions at Source from the salary of the teaching and Non-teaching Staff of Non-Govt. Aided Secondary Schools.
It has been notified that many of the schools are not in practice to deduct Income Tax out of the Salary of the employees of the Schools (Non-Govt. Aided) at source.
As per section 192 of Income Tax Act, 1961 it is mandatory to deduct Income Tax at source from the salary income group by the D.D.O.s concerned.
In view of the above, the DI/s(SE)/ADI/s(SE) are requested to ensure that the release of monthly salary in favour of the staff of the schools are being made after deducting the amount at source and crediting the same in the head, “8658-00-112-011-08-I.T.”
This may please be treated as very urgent and important.
