Sub: Rescheduling of summer vacation in view of heat wave.
Sir/ Madam,
This refers to the proposals of West Bengal Board of Primary Education and West Bengal Board of Secondary Education requesting preponing of the summer vacation in view of the extremely hot conditions prevailing in the State. Because of the prevailing heat wave it has been decided to approve the proposals of the Boards to reschedule the summer vacation which will now start from 2nd May, 2014 and end on 31st May, 2014.
You are requested to advise all schools under your respective control accordingly.
This may please be treated as urgent.
