MEMORANDUM
I am to say by the order of the Governor that the Guru Nanak Institute of Dental Education and Research, Panihati moved a proposal for fixing up of the fees structure of B.D.S and M.D.S. students, which are conducted thereat. In compliance of the judgment and orders delivered by the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India the proposal was duly placed before the fees structure permanent committee; to decide on the fees structure of private Medical and Dental College(s) of the State headed by his Lordship Mr. Justice Asit kumar Bisi, retired Judge, Calcutta High Court set up in terms of judgement of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India. The said fees structure permanent committee on considering the proposals of fees structures of B.D.S. and M.D.S. students made by the Guru Nanak Institute of Dental Education and Research authorities, including their representation and submission made during hearing before the said committee and other issues, made a final assessment and recommended the following fees structure for B.D.S. and M..D.S. students.

2. Now I am further to say by the Order of the Governor that the Governor has been pleased to accept aforesaid recommendation of the fees structure Permanent committee and accordingly to set up the fees structure for B.D.S and M.D.S. students at Guru Nanak Institute of Dental Education and Research, Panihati as mentioned in paragraph A and B therein subject to following condition that
a) In terms of judgment of Hon’ble Supreme Court of India the fees so fixed by the fees structure permanent committee shall be binding for a period of three (3) years beginning from the year 2015-2016 and at the end of which period the Guru Nanak Institute of Dental Education and Research would be at liberty to apply for a revision of fees structure.
b) Further in terms of judgment of Hon’ble Supreme Court of India the Guru Nanak Institute of Dental Education and Research cannot charge either directly or indirectly any other amount over and above the amount fixed as fees by the fees structure permanent committee. There shall not be any profiteering or charging of capitation fees. If any other amount is charged under any head or guise e.g. donations the same would take in to account for charging of capitation fees, which will be a clear violation of orders of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India.
