NOTIFICATION
The State Government had earlier declared 14th February, 2025 (Friday) to be a holiday on the occasion of Shab-e-Barat in terms of Notification No. 4712-F(P2) dated 22nd November, 2024. Now, information has been received that this year Shab-e-Barat falls on 13th February, 2025 (Thursday).
In view of above, the Governor is pleased to declare 13th February, 2025 as holiday for observance of Shab-e-Barat. In the aforesaid Notification, 14th February, 2025 was also declared as holiday on account of birthday of Thakur Panchanan Barma. Therefore, the State Government Offices, Local Bodies, Statutory Bodies, Boards, Corporations and Undertakings controlled or owned by State Government, educational Institutions, other offices/institutions under the control of Government of West Bengal will remain closed on both the days.
