Sub: Issuance of OBC Certificates mentioning category on surrender of Old OBC Certificates – extension of time.
Sir,
With reference to this department’s earlier letter No. 6795(85)-BCW/MR-84/2010(Pt.-I), dt. 06.12.2012, I am directed to state that the last date for change of OBC Certificates mentioning therein Category-A and Category-B has been extended upto 31st December, 2014.
I am directed to state that certificate issuing authority may issue fresh certificates on surrender of the Original Certificates by the holders of Old Certificates for revalidation mentioning Category-A or Category-B on the certificate. The revalidation of the old certificate is to be done by the certificate issuing authority only and no one else.
Further, any person belonging to such class which falls under category-A/ category-B, and possessing an OBC Certificate issued prior to introduction of such categorization will be entitled to benefits admissible to category-A/category-B, as the case may be, until new certificate is issued or the 31st December, 2014, which is earlier.
