NOTIFICATION
Attention: All Head of the Institutions under the purview of the Council
As per the amendment vide Notification No. WBCHSE/ Examination (Amend.)/ Gaz-01/ 2026 dated 24.02.2026 of West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (Examination) Regulations 2024, the students who will be unable to clear any of the subject(s) of Semester-ll, will get a chance to clear the corresponding backlog paper(s) through a Supplementary Examination of Semester-ll, which is to be conducted by the concerned Institutions itself.
Thus, all Head of the Institutions under the purview of the Council are requested to note the following points in this regard.
- Supplementary Examination of Semester-ll of Class-XI (if applicable) is to be conducted every year by the institutions henceforth as per regulation/ notification.
- This year Supplementary Examination of Semester-ll of Class-XI (if applicable) is to be conducted and completed within 11/04/2026.
- Marks of the students of Class-XI (i.e. Semester-I, Semester-ll, Supplementary Examination of Semester-I if applicable, Supplementary Examination of Semester-ll if applicable, Practical and Project) for AY 2025-2026 are to be submitted to the Council through Online Portal (https://wbchse.wb.gov.in/home/) within 16.04.2026 positively (Please note the change of date of submission of marks of Class-XI, which was given in the Annual Working Plan: 2025-2026 vide No. DSE/046/2025 dated 15/05/2025).
- The classes of the students promoted to Class-XII (Semester-III) in AY: 2026-2027, should be started by 4th week of April, 2026.
