To: All Principals/Teacher-in-Charge/President of the Governing Body/Administrator of the College of Govt. aided including erstwhile Govt. Sponsored Colleges in the State of West Bengal.
Subject: Abolition of posts beyond the sanctioned staff pattern in Government aided Colleges.
Ref: No. 1325-Edn (CS) dated 06.11.2011.
With reference to the above subject matter the undersigned is further to circulate the order under reference for information and to take necessary action to all Principals /Teacher-in-Charge/ President of the Governing Body/ Administrator of the College of Govt. aided including erstwhile Govt. Sponsored Colleges in West Bengal and to state that by the order under reference, all such institutes were directed to abolish every post/engagement which were not sanctioned by the Government. It is therefore, reiterated that, all such post/engagement and in particular the post of Vice Principal in any college as mentioned be abolished forthwith excepting in recognized minority colleges.
Engagement of guest teacher/part-time teacher/ contractual teacher shall however, be guided by the existing norms of the State Government.

Sub: Abolition of posts beyond the sanctioned staff pattern in non-Govt. colleges of the State.
The undersigned is directed by order of the Governor to say that some Govt. aided colleges have been observed creating posts beyond the sanctioned staff pattern in the name of administrative convenience and one such post is that of Vice-Principal in many colleges. All Govt. aided colleges be directed to henceforth abolish such posts which do not have any legal sanction, excepting recognized minority institutions.
He is requested to circulate this order among the non-Govt. colleges in the State immediately.
