Every manufacturer or repairer of, or dealer in, weight or measure shall make an application for the issue of a license to the Controller of Legal Metrology.

State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, 21 Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum, the Directorate of Legal Metrology and Directorate of Consumer Affairs & Fair Business Practices are functioning under this Department.
