UTKARSHA ABHIJAN – Quality of Education in Primary Schools of WB

A process of assessment would be taken up between the period of 9th to 21st December 2013 where a stipulated number of students, randomly selected would be taken up. Not less than 20% of all the primary schools of a district are to be covered. This assessment process is the UTKARSHA ABHIJAN – 2013.

Compliance of Section 4 of RTI Act, 2005

To ensure Access, Enrolment, Quality Education and Retention of learner up to Elementary Level. To minimize the Dropout Rate of the learner and to facilitate enrolment to all the children of age group 6+ to 14+ in School.

Closure of Class due to Heat Wave in June, 2014 – Amendment

All Government, Government Sponsored and Non-Government aided and unaided schools (Primary to Higher Secondary) will remain closed from 16th June 2014 to 25th June, 2014 due to extreme hot conditions prevailing in the State and to protect school children.
