West Bengal Government Schemes
There are various schemes of West Bengal Government. To name a few, Kanyashree, Rupashree, Lakshmir Bhandar, Yuvasree, Sikshashree, Jai Bangla, Lokprasar, Nijo Griha Nijo Bhumi, Swasthya Sathi, Gatidhara, Gitanjali, Khadya Sathi, Sabooj Sathi, Sabujshree, Sufal Bangla, Shishu Sathi, Sabala etc.
Aikyashree Scholarship Scheme
West Bengal State Scholarships for Minority Students in West Bengal to be fully funded from the State budget from the financial year 2019-20 onwards.
Banglashree Express Service
All the District Head Quarters towns of the state are connected with Kolkata by high speed modern AC VOLVO bus services so that they can travel overnight to reach Kolkata and return back conveniently.
Gatidhara Scheme
WBTIDCL is the active agent of this project. In case of Commercial cars the State Government shall provide 30% of the price of car or Rs 1 Lakh maximum as subsidy.
Gitanjali Housing Scheme
State Government is providing Rs. 70 thousand per house in plain area and Rs. 75 thousand per house at Hill area and also at Sundarban area under this project Gitanjali.
Hawker Support Scheme, 2020
Any hawker who is a permanent resident of West Bengal, who is in extreme distress due to loss of business/ livelihood opportunities due to outbreak of Corona Virus (COVID-19) will be eligible for the assistance.
Jai Bangla Scheme, 2020
All SC and ST persons above the age of 60 years are eligible under the scheme and shall receive a pension of Rs. 1,000 per month.
Jaladhara Scheme
JALADHARA Scheme to extend financial assistance for replacement or conversion of the existing ‘BHUTBHUTI’s by safe and secure mechanically propelled boats in the interest of public safety.
Kanyashree Prakalpa
An unmarried girl child who is 13 to 18 years old and reading in class VIII/IX/XI/XII will get annual scholarship of Rs. 750/- if annual income of her family is upto Rs. 1.2 Lac.
Karma Sathi Prakalpa
Employment generation for the promising youth through opening new doors to help intending or prospective entrepreneurs and make them self-dependent.
Krishak Bandhu Scheme
Krishak Bandhu (Assured Income and Death Benefit) Scheme under which every farmer including recorded Bhagchasi (Share Croper) will be eligible to get financial support.
Khadya Sathi Scheme
The main purpose of Khadya Sathi project is to ensure food and nutrition by supply of food to the people from backward classes/ pavement dwellers/ aila, drought affected people etc.
Lokprasar Prakalpa
To revive and showcase the different folk music forms of Bengal, a unique project entitled Lok Prasar Prakalpa has spread its wings across the State.
Lakshmir Bhandar Prakalpa
To provide the female members of all families of the state an assured monthly income to improve their financial condition and promote women empowerment.
MANABIK Pension Scheme, 2018
It is applicable for the person having 50% or more disability and the annual family income of the person with disability does not exceed Rs. 1,00,000.00 (Rupees One lakh) per annum.
National Trust Schems
Gharaunda, Aspiration, Gyan Prabha, Niramaya, Samarth, Uddyam Prabha etc.
Nijo Griha Nijo Bhumi
Ownership of five decimals of land per family of houseless agricultural labourers, artisans and fishermen is provided by the Government of West Bengal.
Nijashree Housing Scheme for LIG/ MIG
Government of West Bengal is determined to provide a ‘Basha’ (house) to all the people belonging to the Lower Income Group (LIG) and the Middle Income Group (MIG).
“Prachesta” (প্রচেষ্টা)
To provide some financial relief to labourer/ daily wage earner/ worker, who is in extreme distress, due to COVID-19 outbreak.
Paray Shikshalay
‘Paray Shikshalay’ is teaching learning session at community habitation level for children of age group of 5-9 years i.e. from Pre-Primary to Class IV level in COVID times.
PATHASATHI
PATHASATHI consists of Pay and use toilet, Waiting room, Night shelter and Restaurant under one roof at every 50 K.m. of National Highway, State Highway and Other important roads.
PARIJAYEE SAHAY
To provide some relief to the Migrant Workers in the form of dry ration and other benefits who can not avail themselves of food grains under the Public Distribution System.
Paryatan Sahayata Prakalpa
Governor is pleased to introduce the scheme “PARYATAN SAHAYATA PRAKALPA” (name is indicative) as a Relief Scheme for the Travel and Tourism sector in West Bengal.
Rupashree Prakalpa
Govt. of West Bengal has launched Rupashree Scheme. In this scheme one time financial grant of Rs. 25,000/- will be given to girls above 18 years old for marriage purpose.
Samarthan
Financial assistance in the form of One Time Grant of Rs. 50,000/- will be given to labourer/ worker who are victims of demonetization.
Snehalaya Prakalpa
To provide pucca dwelling housing unit to people not owning pucca house in his or her name or in the name of any family member in West Bengal.
SNEHER PARAS
A financial assistance of one-time exgratia payment of Rs. 1,000/- to worker who is residents of West Bengal and who is stranded in other parts of the country due to lockdown.
Samajik Mukti (Social Freedom)
State Assisted Scheme of Provident Fund for Unorganized Workers (SASPFUW), Buildings and Other Construction Workers’ Welfare (BOCWA) and West Bengal Motor Transport Workers’ Welfare (WBTWSS) Schemes
SAMAJIK SURAKSHA YOJANA
A new and consolidated social security scheme for the unorganised workers namely, SAMAJIK SURAKSHA YOJANA, 2017.
Sabooj Sathi Scheme
A scheme for distribution of bi-cycles to students of class IX to XII studying in Govt. run and Govt. aided Schools and Madrashas of the State of West Bengal.
Sabujshree
Sabujshree will increase awareness and attach values about environment and society to the younger generation. The project will transform Bengal into a Green Bengal.
Sufal Bangla
Sufal Bangla is an initiative of the Govt. of West Bengal for the benefit of the people to ensure fresh vegetables at reasonable price at the their door step.
Shishu Sathi Scheme
Shishu Sathi scheme is to provide free treatment to children below 18 years age, who need heart surgeries, irrespective of how rich or poor the parents are.
Sabala Scheme for Adolescent Girls
Sabala aims at empowering Adolescent Girls of 11 to 18 years by improving their nutritional and health status, up gradation of home skills, life skills and vocational skills.
Sikshashree Scheme
Sikshashree Scholarship Scheme is for the day scholar students of Class V to VIII belonging to Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe category.
Student Credit Card Scheme
Students residing in West Bengal above 10 years. Loan will be available for undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral and post-doctoral study in India or abroad. Students till the age of 40 years of age are eligible for the scheme. Loan amount is upto Rs. 10 lacs.
Swasthya Sathi Scheme
“Swasthya Sathi” for Contractual/ Casual/ Daily rated workers.
Utkarsh Bangla
A flagship Scheme for the entire non-institutional, non-project mode, short term Skill Development interventions to provide wage/ self-employment linked skills training to the residents of the State of West Bengal.
Various Schemes and Programmes for Minority Communities
Providing soft loans for self-employment enterprises, Education loan for pursuing professional courses, Stipend and Scholarship, Vocational courses etc.
Yuvasree (Yuva Utsaha Prakalpa)
The objective of the scheme is to provide employment assistance to the unemployed youths of West Bengal for increasing their employment ability and skill.
