To ensure universalization of Primary, Elementary, Secondary and Higher Secondary Education and to ensure quality education for Human Resource Development.
Introduction of 4 (four) more optional Elective/Addl. subjects duly recommended by the School Education Department, Govt. of West Bengal, in addition to approved existing 33 (thirty three) optional Elective subjects under NVEQF programme for Madhyamik Pariksha in West Bengal, 2015.
Headmaster or Teacher-in-Charge in every school will constitute a Student Safety and Security Monitoring Committee (SSMC) with following members and will convene its meeting bi-monthly;
Filled in Forms for Registration of the students of class-IX of the academic session 2022 along with registration fees to be submitted in Camp Office. The residual Forms, if any, may be submitted to the respective Regional Council Office with late fine during office hours by 31st December, 2022.
Intending teachers may also install ‘WB – Shiksharatna Award’ – android app, version 1.0.10 or above from Google Play Store for the purpose.
The competent authority has decided to extend the summer vacation till 26th June, 2022 or until further instructions whichever is earlier except for the schools in hilly areas of the Darjeeling and Kalimpong districts.
Academic classes for IX to XII may be held from 10-50 a.m. to 4-30 p.m. from Monday to Friday in all districts except in the hill sub-divisions of Darjeeling and Kalimpong district.

The Nodal Committee would be responsible for spreading awareness amongst the school staff in schools within the state, by conducting sensitisation efforts and disseminating complete information in relation to sexual harassment and/or abuse of children in school(s).
