Sub: Professional Examination of Sub-Assistant Engineers (Electrical).
The undersigned is directed to say that in terms of Rule 6(1) of the Rules for Regulation of Recruitment to the Engineering Services (Electrical) under the P.W.Deptt., a Sub-Assistant Engineer (Elect.) in order to be eligible for promotion, must, interalia, pass a written examination in Departmental Rules and Accounts procedure which will be conducted by the P.S.C., West Bengal and will be the same standard as the professional examination referred to in the Chapter VI of the Services (Training and Examination) Rules, West Bengal.
The undersigned is further directed to say that the Governor is now pleased to prescribe a paper of 50 marks with a pass mark of 30 of 1.5 hours duration for the aforesaid examination of Sub-Assistant Engineer (Elect.)
