Guidelines to Conduct Higher Secondary (Semester IV) Exam, 2026

The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education with the support of the State Government has successfully conducted Semester-III Higher Secondary Examination, 2026 in last September. Being the first examination conducting authority at school level in India, it was really a challenging and prestigious issue to the Council to become successful in conducting such a big public examination with huge number of students. The Council has acquired a lot of experiences during pre-examination and post examination stages and finally published the results of Semester-III on 31st October, 2025 satisfactorily. In the whole process, we must acclaim the roles of all Government Departments, teachers and students – who were directly or indirectly involved with this examination. We express our heartfelt thanks and gratitude to all of them.

Being encouraged with the success of the previous examination, the Council is now publishing this “Guideline Book” to make Semester-IV, Semester-III Supplementary Examination & Higher Secondary Examination in Old System successful with the active participation of the examination personnel. Hope, all of you will be benefitted from this initiative. We seek your full cooperation for the grand success of the ensuing Higher Secondary Examinations in February, 2026.
