Guidelines to Universities and Colleges offering B.Ed Degree

MEMORANDUM

For smooth functioning of B. Ed course in the State, I am directed to sate that State Government in the Higher Education Department has decided to prescribe the following guidelines which are to be followed by the Universities and colleges offering B. Ed. Degree for the academic session 2015-16:-

1. 50% of the seats in Government/ Government-aided B. Ed. Colleges/ B.Ed. Departments of State-aided Universities are to be reserved for untrained in-service/ deputed teachers of Classes IX-XII. If the seats reserved for deputed teachers remain unfulfilled, they may be de-reserved and offered to freshers, with prior approval of the affiliating University.

2. For self-financing B. Ed colleges, 20% seats are to be reserved for untrained in-service deputed teachers. In the event of these seats remaining unfulfilled, they may be de-reserved and offered to freshers, with prior approval of the affiliating University.

3. The ratio for home University students and other University students shall be 80:20.
