Notification
Whereas as per provision C of Memorandum No. 1157-F(Y) dated 6 March, 2020 of Finance Department, West Bengal Disability Pension Scheme, 2010 administered by WCD & SW Department has been merged with “Manabik” Pension Scheme.
Hence, in continuation of the Guidelines for the “Manabik” Pension Scheme issued vide this Department’s Notification No. 1591-SW/O/1D-01/18 dated 26.03.2018 and as per Group N U.O. No: 4872 dated 31/03/2020 of Finance Department, the Governor is pleased to notify that the Guidelines of the Manabik Pension Scheme stands modified to the extent that percentage of disability necessary to be eligible for the benefit will now be “40% & above” instead of 50% previously and that the criteria for family income, which had been not more than Rs. 1,00,000 (One Lakh) per annum previously, has been altogether removed.
All the beneficiaries under the erstwhile West Bengal Disability Pension Scheme, 2010 and “Manabik” Pension Scheme, now merged as “Manabik” under the “Jai Bangla Scheme, 2020”, will receive a pension amounting to Rs. 1000 (Rupees One thousand) per month with effect from 01.04.2020.
