Process of Elections to Students Unions, 2013 – Clarification

University and College authorities may take recourse to the provisions of their existing Statutes, Rules and Regulations relating to the conduct of election to the Students’ Unions, and adopt appropriate arrangements.

Certificate for Qualifying Service for Voluntary Retirement

Governor is pleased to delete para 15 which relates to obtaining certificate for 20 years qualifying service from A.G. W.B. before voluntary retirement and to order that henceforth controlling officers would issue such certificate.

West Bengal Services (Appointment, Probation and Absorption of Group C Employees) Rules, 2013

During the period of probation only the entry point pay i.e. Basic Pay plus Grade Pay shall be allowed with annual increment @ 3% per annum and medical allowance, if any.

Salary or Wages under purview of Profession Tax

The profession tax payable by an employee is to be deducted by employer from salary and wage payable to the employee as per Profession Tax Act.
