Compulsory recording of GIS subscriptions in the Service Book
GIS-subscriptions of the State Govt Employees are properly recorded in their Service Books and these records are verified positively by the respective Accounts Officers/Drawing & Disbursing Officers from time to time.

Model Sanction Order for Final Payment of GISS 1983 and 1987
Model Sanction Order Forms as prescribed in Accounting Procedure to Group Insurance-cum-Savings Scheme, 1983 and 1987 were introduced for making final payment on retirement/ cessation of employment or in case of death.

West Bengal State Govt Employees’ Group Insurance-Cum-Savings Scheme, 1987
Each Govt. Employee may make nomination in favour of one or more persons the right to receive the amount that may become payable under the scheme in the event of his or her death before attaining the date of Superannuation.

Disappearance of Government Employee
The family must lodge a report with the concerned Police Station and obtain a report that the employee has not been traced after all efforts had been made.
