The Governor is pleased to declare the 8th May, 2012, Tuesday under Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 as Public Holiday on account of Birthday of Rabindra Nath Tagore.
Governor is hereby pleased to declare 1st, 3rd and 5th of May 2018 as public holidays in view of Panchayat General Elections 2018.
Every year 1st July is celebrated as Doctors’ Day to commemorate the birth anniversary of Late Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy, Ex-Chief Minister of West Bengal, and a half day holiday for the offices under State Government is notified.
