  • Extension of Summer Vacation for Heat Wave, 2012

    In view of the present heat wave prevailing over almost the entire State it has been decided to further extend the summer vacation till 17.06.2012.

  • Preponing of Summer Vacation in May, 2012

    In view of the present heat wave prevailing over the State it has been decided to prepone the summer vacation for a few days so as to start on and from 15th – 16th May, 2012.

  • Public Holiday on 8th May, 2012 – Rabindra Nath Tagore Birthday

    The Governor is pleased to declare the 8th May, 2012, Tuesday under Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 as Public Holiday on account of Birthday of Rabindra Nath Tagore.

  • Celebrating 150th Birthday of Rabindranath Tagore

    To encourage students of college to involve themselves in celebrating Rabindra Sardha Satabarshiki by organizing cultural programme, seminars & quiz and similar related activities from 01.05.2012 to 09.05.2012 in a befitting way.

  • Holiday declared on 9th March, 2012 for Dolyatra

    DPSC is hereby pleased to declare that Friday, the 9th March, 2012 as a holiday in addition with Thursday, the 8th March, 2012 in the event of Dolyatra.

  • Maximum Number of Holidays in Secondary Schools

    The number of Holidays and Vacation days in an academic year in Secondary Schools should not exceed 65 days instead of 80 days excluding Sundays, decided in EC meeting.

  • List of Holidays in Schools, 2012

    List of Public Holidays for the year 2012 i.e. 1st January, 2012 to 31st December, 2012 for the Department of School Education, Govt. of West Bengal. Total number of holidays in this year is 65 days.

  • Public Holiday on Swami Vivekananda Birth Anniversary

    Governor is pleased to declare Thursday, the 12th January, 2012, the birthday of Swami Vivekanda as a Public holiday. This is in partial modification of earlier Notification No. 10972-F(P) dated 07.12.11.

  • Casual Leave due to Change in Academic Session

    No. of Holidays in Secondary Schools for the changed Academic Sessions 2009-2010, 2010-2011, 2011-2012 & 2012 and the No. of days for Casual Leave to be enjoyed by the Teaching & Non-Teaching Staff of Secondary Schools.

  • Holiday List for West Bengal Govt. Employees, 2012

    The Governor is pleased to declare the following days to be public holidays during the year 2012. Birthdays of Swami Vivekanada, Netaji, Gandhiji, Guru Nanak.

  • Public Holiday on Birthday of Rabindranath Tagore, 2011

    In exercise of the power conferred by the explanation to Section 25 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881, the Governor is pleased to declare 22nd Shrabana of Bengali Year 1418, (Monday, the 8th August, 2011) a Public Holiday in memory of Kabiguru Rabindranath Tagore.
