West Bengal Government Notification related to Government Holidays, Public Holidays, Holidays under Negotiable Instruments Act (N.I. Act) etc.
Uniform list of maximum number of holidays to be observed in the academic session – 2016 (01.01.2016 to 31.12.2016). The total number of Holidays in the Academic Year would be fixed at 65 days.
Birth Day of Swami Vivekananda: 12th January, Tuesday, **Birth day of Netaji: 23rd January, Saturday, Republic Day: 26th January, Tuesday, **Saraswati Puja (Sree Panchami): 13th February.
Owing to onset of Puja vacation salary bills of Govt. Employees and Grant-in-aid salary for the month of October, 2015 may be submitted by 13th October, 2015.
Offices of West Bengal will be closed at 2 p.m on Friday, the 18th day of September, 2015 on account of celebration of Viswakarma Puja.
