National Emblem
The National Emblem of India is an adaptation of the Lion Capital of Ashoka, which features four lions (only three visible) standing back-to-back. It symbolizes power, courage, and confidence. Below the lions is a base with a wheel (Ashoka Chakra), and the inscription “Satyamev Jayate,” meaning “Truth Alone Triumphs.”

Proper Use of the National Emblem
To ensure proper use of the National Emblem by all concerned, in keeping with the provisions contained in State Emblem of India (Provisions of Improper Use) Act, 2005.

Improper Use of the National Emblem
National Emblem without ‘Satyameva Jayate’ should not be used by the department or that the said Emblem can not be used at a place where the said office or the authority has no right to use it.
