Government of West Bengal has decided to incorporate percentage of disability (intellectual impairment) on the basis of IQ test report in the certificate to be issued by Zonal/ Dist. Medical Board for mentally retarded People.
Medical Board for mentally retarded persons should be constituted in every District of the State to facilitate the assessment of mentally retarded persons quickly and effectively.
Definitions of 1) Visually Handicaps, 2) Locomotor Handicaps, 3) Speech and Hearing handicaps, 4) Mental handicaps for the purpose of availing of the various facilities/ concessions for those persons.
