Various Scholarship Schemes for students of West Bengal e.g. Pre-matric, Post-matric, Merit-cum-Means, Central Sector Scheme, Swami Vivekananda Scholarship, Hindi Scholarship etc.
BCW Department is introducing on-line receipt of application for centrally assisted scholarship schemes for SC/ST/OBC students from 2013-14 financial year.
Students who have secured 55% marks in the Annual Examination of Class VII and whose parental income is below Rs. 1,50,000/- are eligible to appear National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Examination, 2013 for Class VIII.
From www.scholarships.gov.in students can apply for Pre-Matric Scholarship, Post Matric Scholarship and Merit-cum-Means Scholarship as shown in flow chart.
For Meritorious students belonging to Minority Communities who are pursuing Higher Secondary course or Under Graduate/ Post Graduate courses under recognized Boards/ Universities.
Students of class VIII who secured 55% and above marks in the final examination of class VII are eligible to appear in the Centrally Sponsored NMMS Examination, 2020 for class VIII (5% relaxation to SC, ST, Disabled candidates).
For all the eligible students of classes, score card/ mark sheet should be issued by the concerned Head of the Institution. For class X students of Academic year 2021 (score card of class IX, 2020) may be issued to them respectively.
In case of class I to VIII, it is offline, whereas the students of class IX and X have to submit it online. But from the report, it is revealed that the progress of submission of form is not satisfactory.
To submit application from teachers of Primary, Secondary and Madrasah School for the academic year 2012-13 to release the grant of financial assistance under the Support for Professional Education for Children of School Teachers. The last date of submission – 03.12.2013.

All the girl-students enrolled in the regular courses of post-graduation, whether single or married, may apply for financial assistance for pursuing post graduate studies under K-3 component of the Swami Vivekananda Merit-cum-Means Scholarship Scheme, scoring at least 45% marks in Graduation.
