To develop West Bengal as one of the most preferred tourist destinations of choice, while generating gainful employment, enhancing economic opportunities, and providing best-in-class tourism facilities, services and enriched tourist experience.

Promote homestay tourism in such a way that it can make meaningful contribution to the employment generation, economic growth and bringing the tourists closer to the cultural heritage and traditions of West Bengal.

In respect of development and promotion of Tourism in the state, Governor is pleased to approve a new Tourism Policy named West Bengal Tourism Policy, 2016.
