Due to mis-interpretation of LDC and UDC in the 1:1 ratio our office has failed to convert the ratio into 1:1 from 01.01.1986. For such reason the LDC’s were deprived of their benefit of promotion since 01.01.1986. Now, after such detection the authority is trying to regularize the matter by converting some LDC to UDC so that the ratio becomes 1:1. My question is whether the date of effect should be from 01.01.1986 or from current date? The present structure of the clerical cadre in our office is:-
HC-3; UDC-8; LDC-12 and our office is Directorate.
