NOTIFICATION
In exercise of the power conferred by the proviso to article 309 of the Constitution of India, the Governor is pleased hereby to make the following amendment in the West Bengal Services (Revision of Pay and Allowance) Rules, 1999 as published under this department Notification No. 7306-F dated the 16th October 1998 in Part-I of the Calcutta Gazette Extraordinary, dated the 16th October, 1998 (hereinafter referred to as the said rules) :
AMENDMENT
In the said rules, for the Note below rule 11 substitutes the following Note:
Note: In this rule, “Pay” or “Scale of Pay” refers to the revised pay of the revised scale of pay prescribed for different posts/services. The classification of an employee shall not undergo any change on the ground of eventual movement to higher scale of pay owing to operation of the Career Advancement Scheme or any other non-functional elevation.
2. This amendment shall be deemed to have effect from the 1st day of January, 1996.
