If no teacher is present in a particular day like any strike or rainy day…what is the rule ? it is considered as a working day or not …please reply. Is it considered as casual leave?
Hi Sweta, welcome to this site and best wishes for becoming a member of this community. I must say thats a good question. As per my experience the unintentional absence due to natural calamity or Strike should not be considered as casual leave or any other leave and that should be declared by the competitent authority. I searched the W.B.S.R. but not found any such rule. May be the site Admin give you some reference.
Such cases should be referred to the Competent authority (Secretary of the Department) for taking decision. Secretary may or may not condone such mass absence due to dislocation of traffic, heavy rains, or similar genuine and convincing circumstances over which the employees have no control.
