Sorry brother, Casual leave may not be applicable in this case. You may apply for Earned or Commuted Leave.

Then Should I apply for one day earned leave on that day i.e 12th Nov only? actually somebody said me that If i won’t come on that day( 1st day after Puja vacation) then entire Puja vacation would be calculated as leave and may be deducted from my leave account.

Earned Leave can be prefixed with holidays. If you were not absent on the last day before vacation, I think there is no problem to allow you E.L. or Commuted Leave for that day on special circumstances. Better you submit an application right now for prior intimation to the Office.

Dear Aritra. I am sorry to inform you that 1day Earned leaved cannot be granted to you on 12th November as 13th is holiday (Kali puja). Please forgive me for my aforesaid post.

If any employee (school) is absent before and after (2 days or more) of the long vacation (summer, puja, winter), all the days including holidays are treated as medical leave.
But either before or after (any one) days of absent will treat as half average pay or commuted leave or medical leave.
    No. 15300/G dt. 13/10/72.
