Hi,
I’m a college teacher in D/Dinajpur. Being appointed in a substantive post, I’m a member of the Teacher’s Council of which all the permanent teachers are members till the day of their retirement. Teacher’s Council is a statutory body created by the Executive Council of the University of Gour Banga to which our college is affiliated. As per the statute of the university, Teacher’s Council has the jurisdiction to intervene in all the matters related to the over-all development of the college. But the Governing Body of the college is suppressing details and is refusing to supply the Teacher’s council its (i.e., the Governing Body’s) resolution and agenda. My questions are:
1) Can the Governing Body refuse to do so?
2) Is there any G.O. relating this matter?
3) Is there any precedence of similar incident in any college or any Govt. institution?
Plz advise,
A Roy.
