Can I get Two additionals increments for Ph.D degree that was awerded on 20thDec,2009 when I was joined in school on 29th oct, 2009.

Dear friend, it is evident that you submitted Ph.D. thesis before taking appointment in school. So, the question of requirement of prior permission from school authority and D.I. does not arise. You could have intimated the matter of PhD works to the M.C. and D.I. soon after joining the school to avoid complications (if any) in future while making claim for attached benefits. Anyway, the Hon’ble Kolkata High Court passed order in Writ Petition No.4537 (W) of 2012 on 25.06.2012 in favour of a teacher, directing the D.I. to consider the grant of additional increments for his Ph.D. degree. The teacher completed doctoral research before joining the school and was awarded the degree after appointment. Situation is similar to yours. You may also pray to D.I.,under recommendations of M.C., for incremental benefit by referring to this court verdict (see the copy of reproduction attached below). Best wishes. I have joined as asst. teacher Hindi on 19.02.1999.and during my service I have completed my Ph.D (Hindi)in 2006 for that school management gave me permission. My qualification is B.A.(pass course hindi)) M.A.(Hindi) Ph.D.
I am eligible for additional two increment or not. …..

You may be eligible if you have joined the post of Asst. Teacher (Hons./PG)

What about the additional increments for Ph.D.? Any information – positive or negative!
