In Bihar Prosecution Service, cadre promotion was A.P.O, S.D.P.O, Dist. Prosecution officers and Divisional Prosecution Officers. A permanent rank of Divisional Prosecution Officer has been abolished by state of Bihar and nine officers sent back to the post of Dist. Prosecution Officer but pay band & promotional pay was not disturbed. Now they are feeling demotion. What is the case law regarding this ?
