Here is an another Govt. Order for the Para Teachers of Primary and upper Primary level seeking permission to undergo D.El.Ed/B.Ed training in regular Course or in Open Distance Learning through IGNOU.

Does anybody know how the final degree certificate can be obtained from IGNOU? A friend of mine has got a job on the basis of a provisional degree certificate. Now his employer is demanding the final certificate. He hails from Gujarat and employed in Kolkata. It is difficult for him to go back to his home state and pursue the local IGNOU centre there. Is there any possibility to obtain the same at his present address in kolkata or any IGNOU centre/office in Kolkata?

The candidates completed the course in Dec 2011, are eligible for award of degree in the 25th convocation for which the date is yet to be announced. An application require to be submitted to IGNOU HQ or the Regional Centre. You can learn more about it from
The candidates completed all papers before Dec 2011, were eligible for earlier convocations. If he has applied for it along with requisite fee, he can contact the regional centre and ask about the degree certificate. All degree certificates which are not distributed during and after a convocation, due to students not applying for them, are generally returned to SED, IGNOU, New Delhi. Thus, if this is the case, he has to submit an application to :-

SED, Block-9, IGNOU,
Maidan Garhi, New Delhi – 110068,
