But now it is a life saving surgery in which the weight drastically goes down within 6 months. Is it covered under the WBHS? Kindly enlighten. Private or Semi Govt. insurance companies do not bear the cost but people who have done it and gone to the Consumer form got the decree in their favour. Is it still specifically treated as a cosmetic surgery under the list of the disease? If it is not barred from reimbursement categorically, then one can file the claim as per law. But however, if not included and barred in specific manner then no claim will be entertained.Kindly enlighten.
