April 11, 2012 at 3:56 pm #71963AnonymousInactiveu can take cl 7 days continuously
I think, You can’t take casual leave 7 days contentiously ( At least Primary Teachers, perhaps same others) . vide No. 453-SE (PRY) dated. 04.05.
1999. (a)Casual Leave:- ………………. but it shall not entail an absence of more then 7 consecutive days at a time.
……………. Provided that Sundays and/ or holidays preceding, following or intervening any period of casual leave shall not be counted as part of such leave.i think som is absolutely right.
Friends, I think not given any wrong information. Now I am asking , why not my answer absolutely right ?? all the best.

You are absolutely right.
It is already proved, because you are the MOST WANTED, i mean, top reputed member of this forum. We are really proud of you.April 11, 2012 at 5:05 pm #71967AnonymousInactiveI think your answer is absolutely right. Casual Leave cannot be taken for 7 days continuously as there will always be the weekly holiday, Sunday in between. Starting from the day when your leave starts to be counted, you should be present on the 8th day. Lets take for example that an employee goes on casual leave from a Monday. He then has to compulsorily be present on the Monday of the following week. If he does not do so, all his leaves will be taken as Medical leave or as leave without pay, if there are no medical leaves accruing to his account.
As it turns out therefore that Casual leave can therefore be enjoyed for six days at a stretch, after which there will inevitably be the weekly holiday, Sunday.
This is what I know of the rules regarding casual leave. However, I may be wrong. Request honourable members to rectify me if that is the case.
And yes Mr Pal, we all are proud of you. However, would you please care to ask the Admin, what he wishes to imply when he says you are the MOST WANTED.April 11, 2012 at 5:19 pm #71969AnonymousInactiveAs it turns out therefore that Casual leave can therefore be enjoyed for six days at a stretch, after which there will inevitably be the weekly holiday, Sunday.
Very true. Similarly it is 5 days in case of Govt. employees; because they enjoy 2 weekly holidays i.e. Saturday & Sunday.
August 15, 2012 at 3:56 pm #73656AnonymousInactiveYes. You are absolutely right dear friend. Actually its the difference between theory and practical.
Refering below WBSR Part 1 :- As per Rule 207, appendix 10, casual leave cant be granted more than 7 consecutive days including holidays.i think excluding holidays not including holidays. as i read in headmasters’ manual and pashupati ghosh’s “MUSKIL ASHAN”

i may confused of the line “Sundays and holidays falling within the period of casual leave shall not be counted as a part of the casual leave”
thanks for clearing all confusions .August 26, 2012 at 5:14 pm #73797AnonymousInactiveRespected Elders,
What If The H.M. not following Geo’s on C.L..
What can an A.T. do about it?
the case is one H.M. near my school, dose not sanction c.l. more then one per month, like not more than 8 c.l. in on or before August..August 26, 2012 at 5:35 pm #73799AnonymousInactiveCasual leave may be avialed without prior permission. Just file an application of casual leave after enjoying the same for more than one day and if the same rejected by the H.M., you may knock the door of R.T.I. Lets see what our other friends say.
