An increase of 7% over the existing rate of 58% of Dearness Allowance (DA) to Central Government Employees is effective from 01.01.2012.
So, West Bengal Govt. employees are lagging 20% behind the Central Govt. employees.

When the Central Govt. declares DA, will they send the increasing amount of DA to the State Govt / Do the State Govt. employees get their DA by Central Govt ?

Yes. Only for the State Govt employees. Not for the aided schools or autonomous bodies. Click the link below for detailed information. Why we shall not get DA?

I know this. Honourable C.M. has declared earlier a increse of D.A. of 6% which will be activated from January 2013. But in some news paper it is said that the increse of D.A. will be 10% to 13%. Is it right?

I have heard of 7% hike from jan 2013.
we are lagging by too much difference.
hope it is a more than 7pcnt hike.
