Hello SIBABRATA, As per No. 61-Edn(HS)/3S-27/77 dated 11.05.1978 of Dy.Secretary, School Education Department (H.S. Branch),
The teaching load for a teacher should normally be 36 periods per week (25 periods for classroom teaching plus 11 periods for tutorial class, home task).
For the purpose of calculation of work load 1 (one) period in the Higher Secondary Section shall be taken to be equivalent to 1.25 times the period in the Secondary Section (Class V – X).February 26, 2013 at 6:46 am #77065AnonymousInactivekintu ak soptahe akjon teacher k sorbadhik koti stop gap daoa jay?? February 26, 2013 at 1:21 pm #77067AnonymousInactive36 periods per week including provisional class (25 periods for classroom teaching plus 11 periods for tutorial class, home task).
Now there is no mention about the nature of tutorial classes in manual. And also there is no G.O regarding no. of provisional class per day as fer as I know. But both of you may state about your practical problem (regarding work load per week in your School).March 3, 2013 at 11:24 am #77145AnonymousInactiveEkjon H.S Teacher Ke Ki Saptahe 25 tae H.S. March 3, 2013 at 12:12 pm #77148AnonymousInactiveAll teachers are know the practical situation of Schools, maintaining class load acc. to G.O is impossible in max. nos. of schools. There are many schools where class load of a staff is around 16/week similarly 28 or more per week.
Actually class load depends upon total no. of sections, total no. of allotted periods per class per week and total no. of teaching staffs (maintaining min. class of H.M is 12).
But the matter is, whether the work load for a teacher intentionally given by the school authority is uneven with respect to other teachers. Then you may inform it to the secretary of M.C.
If class load acc. to legal practical situation exceeds the class load mentioned in G.O, then also teachers are bound to take class load (if there is no other way to minimize the class load)
One thing more design of class load as per G.O said earlier and also by manual was done when there are 7 periods in a day, but at present there are 8 periods in a day.March 16, 2013 at 6:07 pm #77407AnonymousInactiveNow when the no of periods per day is 8,then how many total no of periods of the teachers and HM per week ?
