I visited Dental Clinic of CMRI where the doctor suggested that I need to undergo Scaling for which the admissible rate is Rs. 800 ( for two sittings) [01008069 Scaling per Sitting 400/-]. After a conversation with the Treasury Officer of the concerned treasury related to my office, he told that Treatment for Dental Problems can be reimbursed only if I show that that the procedure was in Day-Care treatment of the concerned hospital. But the doctor said that Day Care is suggested only for minor O.T or emergency purpose and he cannot admit me as Day Care patient for the said procedure. Clause 3 Point l sub-point iv of G.O No. 7287–F 19-09-2008 states that “treatment” means the use of medical and surgical facilities and includes dental treatment” but approved diseases list of OPD treatment does not show dental treatment. Now my question is whether it is mandatory to show admitted in Day Care in bill and voucher to get the reimbursement for the dental procedure or is it just that only D2 FORM has to be filled up and duly signed by the Doctor and authority? Can any objection be raised by the Treasury?
An early reply will highly be solicited in this matter and I hope the solution will help many like me in future.
