1.What are the appointment rules for the contractual employees appointed under the various departments of West Bengal Government?
2. What is their rights duties and obligation along with the leave rules applicable upon them?
3. Whether a contactual employee is appointed for 11 months or 12 months by the Government and in case of the renewal of his services after how many years he is likely to be absorbed in the Government Department.
This is very urgent so kindly enlighten me with the relevant rules under which their services are governed with the copy of the G.O and oblige.
Regularization of Temporary Contractual Employees
I think there is no need to re- employment or renewal of the service. For example, the contractual teachers of H.S. School or Para Teachers need no more renewal their service in West Bengal.

NO.9008-F(P) Dated 16/09/2011 (REGULATION OF TEMPORARY CONTRACTUAL EMPLOYEE) said that “a casual/daily rated/ contractual worker may be allowed 30(thirty) off days a year” – in this regards SATURDAY OR SUNDAY OR ANY GOVT. HOLIDAY is working day of contractual employee? Will be they come or present on that day? Pls. clarify…..
1 weekly holiday is mandated by labour deptt. order irrespective of sundays/saturdays/govt. holidays.

Satuday/Sunday/Govt. Holidays are not considered as OFF DAYS for such employment. Only 1 weekly holiday is mandatory as per labour law.
When PERMANENT EMPLOYEE has not come SATURDAY/SUNDAY /GOVT. HOLIDAY then contractual employee what to do on that day? Who take their attendence? When Govt. office is holiday (OFFICE CLOSED ) THEN WHERE CONTRACTUAL EMPLOYEE STAY OR DOING HIS/HER DUTY?
Contractual employees often engaged in different shifting duties where such condition do not arises.
Suppose ‘A’ gets a job as a contractual employee under Govt. of West Bengal after his/her retirement from the service of Govt of west Bengal, He/she will enjoy all Govt. holidays including Saturdays & Sundays. Beside those holidays, will he/she be permitted to enjoy other leaves like Casual, Privilege and Medical leaves. If ‘yes’ let me know categorically .
