In case of Teachers(Specially Pry.) As per ROPA’98 Vide G.O. No. 25 S E IM/102/98 dt. 12/2/09 Col.-3 ‘Mode of drawl of arrears of Pay” …… from the 1st April 1997 to 31st Oct’1998 shall be paid by crediting to some of the P.F. account. This amount so credited shall not be taken …..till31/10/2001.
But we are receiving our salary as per ROPA’98 for the month of Feb’1999. I think arrears salary of ROPA’98 has been deposited for the period of 1/4/97 to 31/1/1999 ie 22month.
After that vide G.O. No. 87 S E /IM-118/99 dt.6/3/2000 Col-B , ..Payment of all such arrears of pay and allowances shall be made through credit to the deposit accounts of P.F. Col.-4 An amount of Rs. 476.49 Corers is placed at the Disposal of the D.S.E (W.B.)
Another Vide G.O. N.o.- 12834F dt. 06/12/1993 says even if the amount would credited to T.O. after 5/10 year from the due date .Interest will be pay for the due date ie.1997.
sorry to say, we have not yet taken any annual P.F. statement in Form -10. We are totally ignorant whether the amount has all ready deposited in our own P.F. A/c and also about the interest whether it has also deposited from the due date or not.what is the present condition of the said interest? What is the way to collect correct information in written? Please help any one. with thanks to all.March 9, 2012 at 3:28 pm #71536AnonymousInactiveSir,
I could not understand this partsorry to say, we have not yet taken any annual P.F. statement in Form -10.
I think Head Master is supposed to give you the annual PF statement even if you do not apply for one specifically after audit is done on the books of accounts of the school every year. Did you get regular statement before the 10 year period that you mentioned? And do you get the statement now? If the answer to the second question is yes then you can calculate back your balance in 1997-98 and find out whether the current balance is with the ROPA arrear or not. You can also find your normal monthly subscriptions deducted from your pay bills every month from registers maintained at school level and calculate the present balance with the help of the Excel utility which has been uploaded by Mr. Som in this forum itself

Actually I dont have much conceptions about Education Department but I have seen that the amount of Arrears of ROPA’98 have been credited in the GPF account of Group “D” employees in our office . In case of other employees the amounts have been credited by A.G.W.B. I cant actually say the date of crediting as I am a newbie. Looking forward how the topic solve.

As per the G.O published by Admin in a different discussion namely “DDO for School Teachers” in this forum, all DDOs are bound by rule to provide annual GPF statement to the subscribers. As far as I remember there is no exception clause for primary teachers in this rule. However, I would request the admin (wbxpress) to pitch in here and offer his comment. If the admin supports my view my idea to get remedy to your problem would be to write to your DDO about the non issue of the annual statement of GPF all these years and asking for a copy of each under RTI Act, 2005 with a Rs.10 postal order. The DDO is bound to give reply within one month if you apply under RTI Act.
But Please wait for Wbxpress reply in this matter before proceeding further, because he is much more knowledgeable than us and has fair experience about how the west bengal govt machinery works.

Can you provide me the G.O.s, mentioned in your first post? Then it would be convenient to peruse the matter.
In case of Govt. Aided Primary Schools, Secretary to the District Primary School Council will act as the Head of the Institution as defined in GPF Rule 1995. It is the responsibility of the Managing Board / Council to keep up to date information in following formats:
a) Index Register (Form III)
b) Schedule of Records towards GPF (Form V)
c) Boadsheet (Form VII)
d) Ledger Account (Form VIII)
[Reference: Schedule 4 a), b), c) of GPF Rule 1995]
If you can not trace your records or do not have the access to information, please let us know (keep written documents in your favour), so that the feasibility of RTI may further be discussed.
Thank you kaushik for giving me such an honour.March 12, 2012 at 6:39 pm #71576AnonymousInactiveYou are infact the most honorable person and it often surprise me when I see your nice reply having so much depth. We are really proud to have such a talented person as our friend. Regards.
