No. 39-SE /1M-19/07, dated 10.01.2008 MEMORANDUM Sub: Eligibility of divorced/widowed daughter for family pension beyond 25 years of age till their re-marriage/death.
A question has arisen whether family pension is admissible to divorced/widowed daughter of teaching and non-teaching staff-pensioner of West Bengal Non Govt. Recognized Educational Institution even after her attaining 25 years of age.

This is however, subject to the condition that the benefit should not be admissible when the daughter has income exceeding Rs. 2600/- per month from employment in Govt., Semi-Govt., Statutory Bodies, Corporation, Undertakings, Private Sectors, Self-employment etc.
3. Formal amendment of the relevant rule will be made in due course.
4. This order will be effective from the date of issue of the memorandum.
5. This order issues in accordance with Finance Department’s Memo No. 620-F(P) dated 29.06.2006.

Re: Extension of Family Pension to divorced/unmarried daught
If there is more than one such daughter of a person will all of them get the pension or the amount will be divided among them?
If the income of such daughter is from bank interest and it exceed Rs 2600/- per month will she be eligible for the pension?
