Fixation after Promotion with normal increment

My friend’s basic pay :8870+2600=11470 ,He got promotion on 28-02-2013,Promotional increment is due. What ‘ll be the basic pay on 01-07-13 with normal + promotional basic pay ? Pl. help.

If it is assumed that friend is a State Govt. Employee and the Grade Pay of the promotional post is Rs. 3600/- and he has opted to get his pay finally fixed from 01.07.2013 (which yields max. financial benefit in this case), the Pay should have been fixed as shown below –
Rs. 8870+Rs. 3600 = Rs. 12470 w.e.f. 28.02.2013, and
Rs. 9580+Rs. 3600 = Rs. 13180 w.e.f. 01.07.2013.
Check the attached document. It’s a sample fixation. Now, if the assumed values are different from the actual ones, please specify because with the changes in those values, the fixation will change accordingly.
