Well same problem is there for teachers in Darjeeling also.
To the best of my knowledge Pay should be fixed with one notional increment(3%) and G.Pay of Rs.2600/-w.e.f. 1st March 2011. But if the teacher opts the benefit w.e.f. 01.07.2011 pay will be fixed with one annual increment and next with above stated fixation. But still date I have. not come across any G.O. relating to Pay Fixation after being upgraded from B to A Category.
So, In my district (Kurseong and Sonada Circle) I have fixed the pay only with higher Grade Pay of Rs. 2600/(diff. of Rs. 300/- in G.Pay). Well dont mind this has made a huge loss in pay to the teachers from July 06 till date. Please do write How the Pay has been fixed with the related subject in your District. Thank You.
When the govt. Should given the A category scale can tell anybody? It should be parity with other state because minimum qalification is same through out the country as per RTE 2009

As per the memo’s no.
iii) Teachers who have attained 1 yr./ 2 yrs. Diploma in Elementary Education from State recognised institutions and appointed as teacher on or before 31.12.2005 shall be treated as ‘trained teacher’.
So, I think U are eligible for Cat. ‘A’ , i.e., Grade Pay 2600.
But, I think you should be drawing the ‘A’ i.e., Grade Pay 2600 right now (i.e., from your date of joinning itself). And, yes as per the memo, U do not need to undergo any Bridge Course.
