Dear friend, Welcome to this forum.
I am seeing such type of query for the first time in this forum. I have heard regarding dress codes for the lady teachers in Schools.
With these kind of problems Govt. generally do not intervene with the School authority.
I could not find any Acts/Rules regarding the same.

As per the above circular No. S/18 dated 14.01.2005 Rule 10,

Every teacher and non-teaching staff shall abide by the dress code, if any, of the Institution and should refrain from extravagance and flamboyance in dress, or display of wealth in the Institution shall be respectful to local sentiment in such matters.

@ ARKA PRAMANICK: Do you have dress code in your school?

I am quoting the order.”Every teacher and non-teaching staff shall abide by the dress code, if any, of the Institution and should refrain from extravagance and flamboyance in dress, or display of welth in the Institution and shall be repectful to local sentiment in such matters.” Therefore local sentiment is an factor which may act here. Be careful. Thanks.
