Many times I get missed calls from unknown number. When I ring back, no reply. What is the wayout to punish?

It depends upon handset, it may control by using the option “Auto Reject” in setting mode.

I like to share my experience regarding this problem. I have activated auto call reject facility on my phone. If I don’t like to receive the call then by pressing a key. That can only be possible only when I like to reject the call intentionally. But how it can be possible when someone making that blankcall just for a second? Before noticing the call the blankcall ends.
It is becoming a irritating matter for the mobile users.

I think our friend is asking whether any action can be taken against the caller or not.

Making blank call is not a crime. But making hoax call is a crime.
Making a General Diary is just entering your grievances in a register. Most of of the grievances not getting proper attention as those registered under General Diary at a Police Station. Steps used to be taken when the grievances registered through First Information Report (FIR).
One can visit a Police Station with an application stating that the strap of his sleeper tears on the road and that can re registered in the General Diary.

No. They don’t. As I replied earlier, untill and unless you are facing any loss or injury on your person or your property it is not accepted as crime and police will not interfere in the matter.

If you have an android phone then please down load a software namely “true caller”. You can get the name of the telephone user after putting his number in the “find” window. You can send sms to the other party by name warning him to refrain or face the music under the provisions of Information Technology Act 2000. If the other party does not listen you can file a complaint with the police for necessary action after recording an FIR.
