I am an Assistant teacher . I completed my Bed from I.G.N.O.U. My last date of examination was 26th of June 2014.So it is natural for me to receive two increments on 27th of June 2014 and 1st of July 2014.But our Headmaster said that I can get only one increment because a gape of 6 months must be maintained between two increments.
I found that cause in ROPA 2009. But from a reliable source ( a person having relation with D.I of Malda ) I know that this clause is only for the fresh recruitment not for the continuing A.T.. He said that For the increment of a new appointment six months gap is required. But In case of stopped increment ( e.g after 4th , it was stopped ) this rule is not applicable. He Give the example of 10 year`s benefit where double increment may occur.
Now my question is that How many increment will I get ? If I get two then please give relevant circular /G.O no.

Your HM is right, Mr. Saha. You are eligible to have increment on 27th June, 2014, of course, if you pass the B.Ed. final exam., and your next increment will be on 1st July, 2015. In that case, you will have no increment on 1st July, 2014.
